What Is OSRS Max Hit Calculator?

An OSRS Max Hit Calculator is an online tool that computes the single highest damage number a player can deal in Old School RuneScape (OSRS) in one attack. Knowing your max hit is essential for boss fights, PvP, Slayer tasks, and optimizing gear setups. This free old school runescape max hit tool supports all three combat styles — Melee, Ranged, and Magic — and uses the exact formulas published on the OSRS Wiki.

Why does max hit matter? Your max hit directly determines whether you can one-shot, two-shot, or KO targets in PvP. It also affects your DPS (damage per second) output when choosing between two different gear setups — even a +1 max hit difference can mean millions of extra damage over a long bossing trip.

OSRS Melee Max Hit Calculator — Complete Guide

The OSRS melee max hit calculator uses your Strength level, equipment strength bonus, prayer, potion, and combat stance to calculate your maximum melee damage. It is the most nuanced of the three combat styles due to Dharok's set effect and multiple gear multipliers.

OSRS Max Hit Formula Explained (Melee)

The official OSRS max hit formula for melee comes from the OSRS Wiki and follows these steps:

Step 1 — Apply Potion Boost: Strength Potion: boosted = level + floor(level × 0.05) + 3 Super Strength: boosted = level + floor(level × 0.15) + 5 Zamorak Brew: boosted = level + floor(level × 0.12) + 2 Overload (CoX): boosted = level + floor(level × 0.16) + 6 Overload+ (ToA): boosted = level + floor(level × 0.17) + 7 Step 2 — Apply Prayer Multiplier: Effective Strength = floor(boosted × prayer_multiplier) + stance + 8 Stance: Aggressive = +3 | Controlled = +1 | Accurate/Defensive = +0 Step 3 — Calculate Base Max Hit: Max Hit = floor(0.5 + Effective Strength × (equipment_str_bonus + 64) / 640) Step 4 — Apply Special Multipliers: Void Melee: × 1.10 Slayer Helm (i) on task: × 7/6 (≈ ×1.1667) Salve Amulet (e): × 1.20 (vs undead only, does NOT stack with Slayer Helm) Berserker Neck + Obsidian:× 1.20 Inquisitor's 3pc: × 1.025 (with crush weapons) Dharok's Set Effect: × (1 + (MaxHP − CurHP) / 100)

OSRS Max Hit with 99 Strength

With 99 Strength, your base effective strength before any boosts is 107. Using Piety prayer (×1.23) and Aggressive stance (+3) raises it to floor(99 × 1.23) + 3 + 8 = 132. With a +150 equipment strength bonus (top-tier BiS gear), the OSRS max hit 99 strength calculation gives: floor(0.5 + 132 × 214/640) = floor(44.7) = 44 base max hit. Adding Super Strength potion and Piety together pushes this to 51–54 before any set bonuses.

OSRS Piety Max Hit

Piety is the strongest prayer for melee Strength, applying a ×1.23 multiplier (23% increase) to your effective Strength level. It requires 70 Prayer and completion of the King's Ransom quest. The OSRS piety max hit is significantly higher than without prayer — for example, 99 Strength with Piety gives an effective level of 121 vs only 107 without prayer. Always use Piety for maximum melee damage at bosses. Chivalry (×1.18) is a good alternative at lower Prayer levels.

Dharok's Max Hit OSRS — Full Formula

The Dharok's max hit OSRS formula is one of the most unique mechanics in the game. The full set (helm, platebody, platelegs, greataxe) adds a special effect: every hit has a chance to deal damage proportional to how much HP you've lost. The formula is:

Dharok's Set Effect: Max Hit (with Dharok's) = base_max_hit × (1 + (Max HP − Current HP) / 100) Example — 99 HP Max, 1 HP Current, base max hit = 44: = 44 × (1 + (99 − 1) / 100) = 44 × (1 + 0.98) = 44 × 1.98 = 87

The Dharok's max hit calculator OSRS section of this tool automatically applies this formula when you enable the Dharok's toggle and set your current HP. Popular Dharok's methods include using a Locator Orb (deals 10 self-damage) to maintain low HP in the Nightmare Zone (NMZ) or at the Corporeal Beast.

OSRS Void Max Hit — Melee

The OSRS void max hit calculator for Melee applies a flat ×1.10 (10%) damage multiplier when wearing the complete Void Knight Melee set (helm, top, robe, gloves). This multiplier is applied AFTER the base max hit is calculated. Note that Void does NOT stack with Slayer Helmet or Salve Amulet's bonus — only the highest multiplier applies in those cases. Void Melee is especially powerful with Dharok's since the 10% applies before the Dharok's HP bonus.

OSRS Ranged Max Hit Calculator — Full Guide

The OSRS ranged max hit calculator follows the same base formula as melee but uses your Ranged level and Ranged Strength bonus (from ammunition + weapon + equipment). The Ranged Strength bonus is one of the most important stats for maximizing DPS.

Ranged Max Hit Formula

Step 1 — Apply Potion: Ranging / Bastion Potion: boosted = level + floor(level × 0.10) + 4 Overload (CoX): boosted = level + floor(level × 0.16) + 6 Step 2 — Effective Ranged: Effective Ranged = floor(boosted × prayer_multiplier) + stance + 8 Stance: Accurate = +3 | Rapid / Longrange = +0 Step 3 — Base Max Hit: Max Hit = floor(0.5 + Effective Ranged × (ranged_str_bonus + 64) / 640) Step 4 — Multipliers: Void Ranged: × 1.10 Elite Void Ranged: × 1.125 Crystal Set 3pc: × 1.15 Slayer Helm (i) on task: × 1.15 Salve Amulet (ei): × 1.20 (vs undead, does NOT stack with Slayer Helm) Zaryte CB vs Undead: × 1.10 Dragon Hunter CB vs Dragons: × 1.25

OSRS Twisted Bow Max Hit

The OSRS twisted bow max hit is unique because it scales with the target's magic level, not just your stats. The Twisted Bow is capped at magic level 250 for PvM (most NPCs) and 350 for PvP. The damage formula multiplier is:

T-Bow Damage Multiplier: M = min(target's magic level, 250) [PvM cap] x = floor(3M / 10) − 14 damage_pct = min(250, max(0, 140 + 3x − floor(x² / 100))) multiplier = damage_pct / 100 Max Hit = floor(base_ranged_max_hit × multiplier) Example — M=250: x = 61, pct = min(250, 140+183−37) = 250 → ×2.50 Example — M=169 (Vorkath): x = 36, pct = min(250, 140+108−12) = 236 → ×2.36 Example — M=80 (GWD): x = 10, pct = min(250, 140+30−1) = 169 → ×1.69

With 99 Ranged, Rigour, Void Ranged, Dragon Arrows (+60 ranged str, +82 total), against a target at magic 250 (such as Verzik or Olm in CoX), the twisted bow max hit reaches approximately 70–80. The Twisted Bow is the Best-in-Slot weapon at Chambers of Xeric, Theatres of Blood (Verzik), and against Nex.

OSRS Magic Max Hit Calculator — Complete Guide

The OSRS magic max hit calculator works differently from Melee and Ranged. Magic damage is determined by the spell's base damage (a fixed number per spell) multiplied by your total Magic Damage % bonus from equipment. Prayer does not directly increase magic max hit — it only boosts accuracy.

Magic Max Hit Formula

For Standard Spells and Ancient Spells: Max Hit = floor(base_spell_damage × (1 + magic_damage_bonus / 100)) For Powered Staves: Trident of the Seas: base = floor(magic_level / 3) − 5 Trident of the Swamp: base = floor(magic_level / 3) − 2 Sanguinesti Staff: base = floor(magic_level / 3) − 1 Warped Sceptre: base = floor(magic_level / 3) − 1 + 3 (in Fortis Colosseum) Nightmare Staff: base = floor(magic_level / 3) Then: Max Hit = floor(base × (1 + magic_damage_bonus / 100)) For Tumeken's Shadow: Effective magic dmg bonus = min(magic_damage_bonus × 3, 100%) Then apply to base spell damage Magic Damage Sources: Occult Necklace: +10% Kodai Wand: +15% Ancestral Hat: +2% Ancestral Top: +2% Ancestral Bottom: +2% Tormented Bracelet: +5% Elidinis' Ward (f): +5% Elite Void Magic: +2.5% BiS Magic Dmg Bonus: 10+15+2+2+2+5+5 = 41% (without Tumeken's)

Tumeken's Shadow Max Hit OSRS

The Tumeken's Shadow max hit OSRS is the highest possible magic damage in the game. The staff passively triples your equipped magic level and your total magic damage bonus (both capped before tripling at their normal maximums). This means even modest magic damage items become extremely powerful. At 99 Magic with Occult Necklace (+10%), Tormented Bracelet (+5%), and Ancestral Set (+6%), your magic damage bonus is 21%. Tumeken's Shadow triples this to 63% before applying it to Ice Barrage's base 30: floor(30 × 1.63) = 48 max hit. Combined with Augury and Slayer Helm, Tumeken's Shadow regularly hits 60–80 against targets on task.

Ammunition Is Your Primary Ranged Damage Source

A critical difference between OSRS Ranged and Melee is that your ammunition contributes the majority of your Ranged Strength bonus — often more than all your armour pieces combined. Dragon Bolts alone add +122 Ranged Strength, while a full set of Masori armour adds only about +12 total. This means choosing the right ammo tier has a far larger impact on your ranged max hit than upgrading most armour slots.

Key ranged rule: Always match your ammunition to the highest tier your crossbow can fire. Using Adamant Bolts (+100) instead of Dragon Bolts (+122) at a high-level boss costs approximately 3–4 max hit — roughly a 10% DPS loss.

Enchanted Bolt Special Attack Mechanics

Enchanted bolts have a chance to trigger a special effect on each attack, dealing damage in addition to your regular attack roll. These procs can far exceed your normal max hit and are a primary reason crossbows remain competitive against faster weapons. Here is a breakdown of every enchanted bolt proc:

Bolt TypeProc ChanceProc EffectBest Used Against
Ruby Bolts (e)6%Deal 20% of target's current HP (capped at 100 damage)Boss fights when HP is high
Diamond Bolts (e)10%Ignore target's defence entirely (×1.15 max hit)High-defence bosses (Vorkath, Zulrah)
Onyx Bolts (e)11%Life leech — deal ×1.20 damage and heal 25% of damage dealtSustained combat without food
Dragonstone Bolts (e)6%Dragon's Breath fire hit (unaffected by anti-fire)Wyverns, certain dragons
Opal Bolts (e)5%Lightning strike — damage scales with Ranged levelLow-level farming (cheap option)
Ruby → Diamond Switch Strategy: Ruby Bolts (e) are best at the start of a boss fight when the target's HP is high (20% of 300 HP = 60 damage). Once the boss drops below roughly 40% HP, the ruby proc becomes less effective. Switch to Diamond Bolts (e) for their defence-piercing proc. This "Ruby → Diamond switch" is standard at bosses like Vorkath and Zulrah.

Dark Bow & Magic Shortbow Special Attacks

Shortbow and two-handed bow special attacks work differently from bolt procs — they modify the attack itself rather than adding an extra hit:

  • Dark Bow Special (Dragon Arrows): Fires 2 arrows simultaneously, each dealing ×1.5 the normal max hit (minimum 8 each). The result is two high-damage hits in a single attack.
  • Magic Shortbow Special: Fires 2 arrows in rapid succession with full accuracy on each, using only 55% of your special attack bar. Useful for stacking damage quickly in PvP.

Ranged Weapon Attack Speed Comparison

Weapon attack speed directly affects your Ranged DPS. A weapon that attacks twice as often can outdamage one with a much higher max hit. When comparing gear, always consider both max hit and attack speed together.

Weapon TypeSpeed (ticks)Seconds/AttackNotes
Toxic Blowpipe (Rapid)21.2sFastest ranged weapon in OSRS; uses darts
Shortbows (Rapid)31.8sMSB (i), Bow of Faerdhinen on Rapid
Shortbows (Accurate)42.4s+3 Ranged levels, but lower DPS than Rapid
Twisted Bow (Rapid)53.0sSlower but huge damage per shot at magic 250+
Crossbows (Rapid)53.0sACB, ZCB, DHCB — all 5-tick on Rapid
Chinchompas (Rapid)31.8sMulti-target AoE; ideal for Skeletal Monkeys / Maniacal Monkeys
Rapid vs Accurate stance: Rapid style attacks 1 tick faster — for example, shortbows go from 4-tick Accurate to 3-tick Rapid. This means 33% more attacks per minute while only losing +3 Ranged levels (roughly 1 max hit). In almost every situation, Rapid gives higher DPS. Use Accurate only when that extra +1 max hit pushes you to a meaningful KO threshold in PvP.

Ranged Gear Progression — Budget to Best-in-Slot

Ranged armour contributes a smaller portion of your Ranged Strength bonus compared to ammunition, but each upgrade still matters. Here is the recommended gear progression across three budget tiers:

Budget Setup (~0–5M GP)

Black D'hide body + chaps, Ava's Accumulator, Amulet of Glory, Magic Shortbow (i) with Rune Arrows. Total armour Ranged Strength: approximately +4. Estimated max hit at 99 Ranged with Eagle Eye: ~25. The Magic Shortbow (i) is the best budget ranged weapon in the game for its cost.

Mid-Tier Setup (~50–300M GP)

Blessed D'hide set, Ava's Assembler, Necklace of Anguish (+5 Ranged Strength), Armadyl Crossbow with Diamond Bolts (e). Total armour Ranged Strength: approximately +16. Estimated max hit at 99 Ranged with Rigour and Ranging Potion: ~39. The Necklace of Anguish alone adds 2–3 max hit over an Amulet of Fury — it is the single best ranged jewellery upgrade available.

Upgrade priority for ranged: 1. Necklace of Anguish (+5 ranged str, ~15M GP) → 2. Ava's Assembler (free from Vorkath quest reward) → 3. Zaryte Crossbow → 4. Masori set → 5. Venator Ring. The Anguish is the best GP-per-max-hit upgrade in ranged.

Best-in-Slot Setup (1B+ GP)

Masori mask (f), body (f), chaps (f), Ava's Assembler, Necklace of Anguish, Zaryte Crossbow or Twisted Bow, Zaryte Vambraces, Pegasian Boots, Venator Ring. Total armour Ranged Strength: approximately +28. Estimated max hit at 99 Ranged with Dragon Bolts, Rigour, and Ranging Potion: ~49. Against high-magic targets, the Twisted Bow with Dragon Arrows significantly exceeds this.

Ava's Assembler — Ammo Conservation

Ava's Assembler is the upgraded version of Ava's Accumulator, obtained as a reward from Dragon Slayer II. It recovers approximately 80% of fired ammunition, making it essential for any setup using expensive ammo. Over 1,000 Dragon Arrows (~1.5M GP), the Assembler saves you roughly 800 arrows — around 1.2M GP in recovered ammo. Always equip the Assembler once you have completed Dragon Slayer II; it pays for itself quickly.

Ranged Tips & Common Mistakes

Even experienced players make avoidable mistakes when optimising their Ranged max hit and DPS. Here are the most common errors and how to fix them:

  • Comparing max hit instead of DPS: A crossbow max hits higher than a Blowpipe, but the Blowpipe attacks 2.5× faster. Always check DPS when choosing between weapons with different attack speeds — max hit alone is misleading.
  • Using Twisted Bow against low-magic targets: The T-Bow scales with the target's Magic level. Against monsters with Magic below ~100, a Zaryte Crossbow will outdamage it despite costing roughly 1/10th the price.
  • Skipping the Necklace of Anguish: The Anguish gives +5 Ranged Strength — more than most full armour upgrades combined. It is the single highest-value ranged jewellery upgrade per GP spent.
  • Not switching bolt types during a boss fight: Ruby Bolts (e) are strongest at high HP; Diamond Bolts (e) are best once the boss is below 40% HP. Keeping Ruby Bolts equipped throughout is a significant DPS loss.
  • Forgetting Ava's Assembler: Not recovering 80% of Dragon Arrows or Dragon Bolts is a costly mistake over a long bossing trip.
  • Using Accurate stance for DPS: Rapid is almost always superior for overall DPS. Only use Accurate in PvP when you need a specific KO threshold.
  • Overlooking Elite Void vs Masori comparison: Elite Void gives +12.5% flat damage but lower accuracy. Masori provides higher accuracy. Against high-defence bosses, Masori's accuracy leads to better DPS; against low-defence targets, Elite Void wins on max hit.

Scorching Bow — Fortis Colosseum Weapon

The Scorching Bow is a unique ranged weapon obtained from the Fortis Colosseum. Unlike most shortbows, its max hit scales with both your Ranged level and the number of charges consumed. At 99 Ranged with Rigour prayer, it hits competitively with other shortbows while also applying a burning damage-over-time effect on targets. The Scorching Bow is an interesting alternative in content where the burn effect contributes meaningfully to total damage output.

OSRS Combat Calculator 2026 — Tips & Meta

This OSRS combat calculator 2026 covers the current game meta including the Fortis Colosseum (Locator Orb Dharok's meta), Tombs of Amascut (Tumeken's Shadow), and Leagues V setups. The game is frequently updated, and new items like the Osmumten's Fang, Scythe of Vitur, and Ursine Chainmace have reshaped the meta. This tool is updated to reflect current formulas.

Difference between Max Hit and DPS: Max hit is the single highest damage you can deal. OSRS DPS calculator measures average damage per second, which depends on accuracy (hit chance) and attack speed. A weapon with a higher max hit but lower accuracy or slower speed may have lower DPS than a faster, more accurate weapon. Always check both — max hit and DPS — to find the true best-in-slot for each situation.

Frequently Asked Questions — OSRS Max Hit

How do I calculate melee max hit in OSRS?
Effective Strength = floor(boosted Strength × prayer multiplier) + stance bonus + 8. Then Max Hit = floor(0.5 + Effective Strength × (Equipment Strength Bonus + 64) / 640). Apply special multipliers like Void (×1.10) and Dharok's (×HP formula) afterward.
genshin wish calculator
What is the max hit with 99 Strength and Piety in OSRS?
With 99 Strength, Piety (×1.23), Aggressive stance, Super Strength potion, and ~+150 equipment strength bonus, your max hit is approximately 51–54. With Dharok's at 1 HP it can reach 90+. Use this calculator to find the exact value for your gear.
How does Dharok's max hit work in OSRS?
Dharok's set multiplies your base max hit by (1 + (MaxHP − CurrentHP) / 100). At 99 Max HP and 1 Current HP, the multiplier is 1.98 (nearly double). This makes Dharok's best used in NMZ with Locator Orb, or in high-HP boss fights with a partner healing. The Dharok's max hit OSRS can exceed 90 in optimal conditions.
What is the OSRS Twisted Bow max hit?
The OSRS Twisted Bow max hit depends on your target's magic level. Against bosses at magic level 250 (CoX raid cap), with 99 Ranged, Rigour, Dragon Arrows, and Void Ranged, you hit approximately 65–72. Against targets at magic 490+ (Verzik, Olm) the formula caps at 250 for most PvM content. Use the Ranged tab in this calculator with the T-bow toggle enabled.
What is the Tumeken's Shadow max hit in OSRS?
The Tumeken's Shadow max hit OSRS varies by spell and equipment. At 99 Magic with Occult Necklace (+10%), Ancestral Set (+6%), Tormented Bracelet (+5%), and Kodai Wand (+15%) = 36% total magic damage bonus. Tumeken's triples this to 100% (capped), so Fire Surge base 24 becomes floor(24 × 2.00) = 48. With Augury and a Slayer Helm on task, total max hit can reach 55–80+.
Does Void Knight increase max hit?
Yes. Void Melee increases max hit by ×1.10 (10%). Void Ranged gives ×1.10 damage, and Elite Void Ranged gives ×1.125 damage. Elite Void Magic adds +2.5% magic damage bonus. These do not stack with Slayer Helmet or Salve Amulet — only one damage multiplier applies at a time (the better one is used in most calculations).
What does the Slayer Helmet (i) do to max hit?
The imbued Slayer Helmet (i) gives a ×7/6 (≈16.67%) melee damage bonus and ×15% ranged damage bonus against your current Slayer task. It also gives a magic accuracy boost. This replaces Void or Salve bonuses (the highest one applies). The Slayer Helm (i) is one of the best damage boosts available if you're on a task.
What is the max hit with Salve Amulet (e) in OSRS?
The Salve Amulet (e) gives a ×1.20 (20%) bonus to melee damage AND accuracy against undead monsters. The Salve Amulet (ei) (imbued version) also adds the 20% bonus to Ranged and Magic. Popular uses include Vorkath (undead), Barrows brothers, and Skeletal Wyverns. It does NOT stack with Slayer Helmet bonus — use whichever gives more damage.
What is the difference between OSRS max hit and DPS?
Max hit is the absolute highest single damage roll possible. DPS (Damage Per Second) is the average damage per second, accounting for hit chance (accuracy), max hit, and attack speed. A weapon can have a higher max hit but lower DPS than a faster weapon. For bossing decisions, always compare DPS using an OSRS DPS calculator. For PvP spec weapons (like Dragon Claws or Korasi), max hit matters more since you want to one-shot or KO quickly.
How does the Obsidian set work for max hit OSRS?
The Obsidian armour (helm, body, legs) combined with a Berserker Necklace and an Obsidian weapon (Toktz-Xil-Ek, Toktz-Xil-Ak, or Tzhaar-Ket-Om) provides a ×1.20 (20%) damage bonus. This is effectively the same as the Salve Amulet multiplier and is a very strong low-cost setup. The Toktz-Ket-Om (Tzhaar Maul) can hit extremely hard with this setup at low cost.
What is the highest possible max hit in OSRS?
The theoretically highest single max hit in OSRS is achieved with Dharok's at 1 HP with 99 Strength, Super Strength potion, Piety (×1.23), Aggressive stance, Void Melee (×1.10), and maximum strength bonus. This can exceed 100+ damage in optimal conditions. In normal gameplay, the highest sustainable max hit for melee is around 55–65 (BiS melee with Scythe), for ranged ~70–85 (Twisted Bow against high magic target), and for magic ~55–80 (Tumeken's Shadow on task).
Is Rapid or Accurate stance better for ranged DPS in OSRS?
Rapid is almost always better for DPS. Rapid attacks 1 tick faster — for example, shortbows move from 4-tick (Accurate) to 3-tick (Rapid), giving about 33% more attacks per minute. The trade-off is losing +3 Ranged levels, which reduces max hit by roughly 1. In most situations, the extra attacks more than compensate for this small max hit drop. The only reason to use Accurate is in PvP when that +1 max hit would push you to a specific KO threshold against your opponent.
What do Ruby Bolts (e) do and when should I use them?
Ruby Bolts (e) have a 6% chance to proc a special hit that deals 20% of the target's current HP (capped at 100 damage per proc). This makes them extremely powerful at the start of boss fights when the target has high HP — for example, 20% of 300 HP = 60 damage per proc. However, as the boss's HP drops below roughly 40%, the ruby proc becomes weaker. At that point, switch to Diamond Bolts (e), which have a 10% chance to ignore the target's defence entirely. This "Ruby → Diamond switch" is standard at bosses like Vorkath and Zulrah.
What is the Necklace of Anguish and why is it important for ranged?
The Necklace of Anguish is the best-in-slot ranged amulet in OSRS, providing +5 Ranged Strength bonus — more than most full armour upgrades combined. For comparison, an Amulet of Fury gives +0 Ranged Strength. At around 15M GP, the Anguish is the highest value ranged upgrade per GP spent. The +5 Ranged Strength translates to roughly 2–3 additional max hit, which is equivalent to upgrading several armour slots at once. It is the first upgrade priority for any player building a serious ranged setup.
Is Elite Void or Masori armour better for ranged in OSRS?
It depends on the content. Elite Void Ranged gives a flat +12.5% damage multiplier (×1.125), resulting in a higher raw max hit. Masori armour provides significantly better ranged accuracy bonuses. Against high-defence bosses (Vorkath, Raids bosses), Masori's accuracy advantage leads to higher overall DPS because more hits actually connect. Against low-defence targets (monsters with low defence roll), Elite Void's damage bonus results in better DPS. When in doubt, compare both setups using an OSRS DPS calculator for your specific target.
What are the best ranged potions in OSRS and what boosts do they give?
The main ranged potions in OSRS are: Ranging Potion (boosts Ranged by +10% + 4, e.g. +13 at 99), Bastion Potion (same Ranged boost + Defence boost, dropped in ToB), Divine Ranging Potion (same +10%+4 boost but drains prayer instead of timing out — ideal for extended bosses), Divine Bastion Potion (same as Divine Ranging but with defence too), Super Ranging Potion (NMZ exclusive: +15%+5, e.g. +19 at 99 — strongest ranged potion), and Smelling Salts (ToA exclusive: +16%+11, strongest outside NMZ). Overloads (CoX) also boost Ranged by +16%+6 as part of their all-stat boost.
When is Twisted Bow worse than other crossbows in OSRS?
The Twisted Bow underperforms against targets with a Magic level below roughly 100. Its damage multiplier scales up with the target's magic stat, so at low magic levels the multiplier is weak. Against such targets, a Zaryte Crossbow with Dragon Bolts (e) will deal comparable or higher damage at around 1/10th the GP cost. Always check a target's magic level before using the T-Bow — it is genuinely best-in-slot at bosses like Chambers of Xeric (Olm, magic 399), Verzik (490), and Nex (350), but mediocre at low-magic content like most God Wars Dungeon generals.
